CrossFit is a training program structured around ten components of fitness: strength training, stamina, endurance, accuracy, power, agility, balance, speed, coordination and flexibility, all applied in a challenging Workout of the Day (WODs). CrossFit involves constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.
Constantly Varied: CrossFit programming strategically varies the workout stimulus so that you are always prepared for any and all physical tasks as well as never getting bored.
Functional Movement: Have you ever dropped something and had to pick it up off the floor? Sat down on the coach and had to stand up again? Put an item up on a high shelf? If you answered yes, you have performed deadlifts, squats, and shoulder presses. We train these movements because they are the functional movements life demands.
High Intensity: Whether your goal is to have more energy, look better, get stronger or sleep better, intensity is the best way to get there. Our focus is moving well with consistency and then ramping up the intensity. Intensity is relative meaning we help individualize each workout to you and within the limits of your own physical and psychological capacity.
All WODs can be modified and are appropriate for all fitness levels.
